*About Special Callsign 8J7YAGI

"Yagi-Uda Antenna" is one of the most popular antenna in the world. Its inventor Dr. Hidetsugu YAGI was born in 1886. We celebrate the 120th anniversary of his birth and the 80th anniversary of the patent of the Yagi-Uda antenna. Our club has a special callsign "8J7YAGI" for the memory of Dr.YAGI. We operate from the birthplace of Yagi-Uda Antenna at Tohoku University. This event is co-sponsoring with Osaka University Amateur Radio Club(JA3YKC/8J3YAGI) and under the sponsorship of Tohoku University.
